I don’t like the holiday tradition is burning the paper money.

In Taiwan , almost in every traditional holiday , everyone should pay respect
to their ancestors or the gods . I think this is a good culture to let descendants
don’t forget their root. But many people show their respect by burning much
paper money . It is said that how much paper money you burned , how much
paper money your ancestors (the god) got .

But I think this is a bad way to show our respect. Burning more paper money
would making more air pollution and making more waste of natural resources .
The temperature of our environment is higher and higher . And the air is worse
and worse . Everyone living in the land should do one’s best to protect the earth .

If I had the power to change it , I would promote that the better way to pay our
respect to the ancestors or gods is offering the flowers and fruits than burning
the paper money . I would like to tell everyone that the most important is our
appreciation , but not how much the paper money we burned .
